The Bronze Serpent (Numbers 21:4-9)

Introduction

Beloved saints, we are not merely beings who live day by day. We are God's people walking the absolute journey within God's timetable. All the events and problems that occur in our lives are not coincidental. Please believe that all of these things happen to fulfill the Word and accomplish God's plan.

Main Point 1: Reasons for Falling into Unbelief

Through the incident of the Israelites being bitten by venomous serpents, we can discover the causes of unbelief. When their shortcut was blocked, they complained against God and despised the manna that God had given them. We too fall into unbelief when things don't go according to our will or when we neglect God's Word. Especially when everything is going well, we are prone to forget God and become unfaithful.

Main Point 2: The Dangers of Unbelief

Unbelief is a deadly and highly contagious problem. It doesn't end with just a small loss but leaves deep wounds in our families and churches. What we say within our families and churches is very important. God's command to make a bronze serpent shows that Jesus Christ has completely destroyed Satan's power that leads to unbelief.

Main Point 3: The Way to Live by Faith

We must strive to receive the apostles' teaching, fellowship, and prayer. Please live being held by the Word and bound by the Holy Spirit even in ordinary times. God's Word should be sweeter than honey in our mouths, and the pulpit message is the answer to any problem. Just as Moses lifted up the bronze serpent in the wilderness, we must always look to Christ and receive fullness through His life and power.

Conclusion

Beloved saints, please remain in the place of worship, Word, and prayer. That is the safest and most blessed place. Please live a life of always rejoicing, praying without ceasing, and giving thanks in all circumstances. Believe that all problems and situations are within God's perfect plan, and walk this journey of faith with peace.
